Are you a family of hikers, mountain bikers and all-around adventurers? Then Sedona is a must-do destination. Sedona has long been the Mecca of mountain bikers and you’ll find trails for every skill level. Washington, DC

From historic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument to educational institutions like the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC offers your family a nearly endless choice of entertaining activities. Must-see attractions for kids of all ages include the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, and the 2,000-plus animals at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Yosemite National Park, CA

For a family-friendly hike, the Lower Yosemite Fall Trail offers a chance to see one of North America’s tallest waterfalls. You can also catch a glimpse of the iconic Half Dome as you make your way to Mirror Lake, which is at its fullest in spring. Looking for an oceanside destination you can enjoy on a budget? Myrtle Beach is an excellent choice. This vibrant coastal town features 60 miles of sandy beaches perfect for sunbathing, sandcastle building, wave jumping and other activities. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is famous for amusement parks, arcades, mini-golf and a wide variety of eateries offering fresh seafood and regional dishes. Off the beach, you can visit the amazing underwater worlds of Ripley’s Aquarium or take a spin on the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel to enjoy breathtaking views of the area. Sanibel Island, FL

Not familiar with Sanibel Island? It’s been a favorite getaway of families for decades. Located off the coast of Fort Myers, the charming resorts, calm waters and laid-back atmosphere of Sanibel and Captiva have something for everyone in the family. Watch terrapins and alligators at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Dine at quirky hot spots like the Mucky Duck and Bubble Room.
